What is Laser Liposuction?

A new technology in fat reduction just got recently approved by the FDA as a method for removing fat in specific areas of the body. It seems that people no longer need to stick to the option of traditional liposuction. There is however, still a lot that we need to know about laser liposuction.

What Laser Liposuction Is

Laser liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure that causes little bruising or tissue trauma in patients. In this procedure, a very small incision is made into which a 1mm cannula is then inserted. The laser tip of the instrument then comes into contact with the fats, heats the fats up and breaks them down. The melted fat can then be removed from the body immediately.

The fats that are not removed from the body are simply flushed out through our lymphatic system. Laser intensity is low and can be adjusted as needed. A local anesthetic is all that is needed for laser liposuction.

What It Is For

Laser liposuction is apparently not for everyone. Although some may claim that laser liposuction can work wonders on all parts of your body, it can only really work on limited areas. Only smaller areas like the face, neck and arms can be subjected to this laser treatment.

Laser liposuction is similar to traditional liposuction in that it is also a form of a body sculpting procedure. It is therefore not a solution for obesity and cannot be used for weight loss. The appropriate candidates for this new technology are people who are fairly healthy and who have only small fat deposits.

Advantages

Since the procedure is minimally invasive, there is less swelling, bruising, scarring, tissue damage and pain. The incision is said to be so small that a patient no longer needs to be stitched up. This means that the rate of recovery is faster. Patients can get back on their feet in a day or two.

Another advantage of laser liposuction is that it promotes collagen production and tightens the skin aside from merely melting body fats. This is a great improvement compared to traditional liposuction. In traditional liposuction, some patients end up looking worse because of a lack of ideal skin elasticity. Some doctors may use laser liposuction after sessions of traditional liposuction to help tighten the skin.

Disadvantages

Not all areas of the body can be subjected to laser liposuction. Traditional liposuction may still be needed for wider body areas such as the hips and thighs. It is also still a very young piece of technology. Experts agree that more studies need to be conducted to determine the possible negative side effects of this procedure.

A more serious concern that especially deserves more attention in laser liposuction is also the probable negative effects of having more fat fluid being retained in the body. Of course, the FDA would not approve something that could be potentially dangerous. It is a fact though that the full long term side effects of the procedure cannot be determined yet until it has been in use for quite some time. Be on the safe side by asking your doctor to extensively discuss the procedure with you.

3 Easy Exercises That Will Help You Grow Taller

Things always seem to get more complicated as time goes on, and it's no different with exercises. Where once you had maybe a few basic exercises to think about, now we have hundreds of different exercises and fitness systems to consider.

This is not true with height training exercises though, which are simplicity reborn anew. In fact many are simple stretching routines, which can have a profound impact on your flexibility, and ultimately your height.

Three of these techniques are shown below, and while they may seem simple, they'll begin to show effects after a period of sustained use. It's all about dedication.

1. Side Stretch - The side stretch is a very simple technique, and one you perhaps already use, though probably not for the length of time that is required. It's very much like a common stretch after getting out of bed, hands linked.

With your hands similarly linked, stretch your arms up above your head, and then tilt them directly to the side, out as far as you can. Keep your back as straight as possible throughout this manoeuvre. Do this to each side of your body for 20-30 seconds at a time.

2. Lower Back and Buttocks Stretch - For this stretch, lay down flat on your back. Grabbing one leg with both hands, pull it up as close to your body as possible while keeping the rest of your body in the same position. Hold this for 20-30 seconds, and then repeat with the other leg.

3. Free Hang - This stretch will require a bit of strength, and may be difficult the first few times you try it, after which point it should come much easier. Hold yourself suspended above the ground via a bar or anything else you can use. Just holding yourself up is not the real goal of this exercise though. Your goal should be to release the tension from your hands, arms, and shoulders, and be as loose as you can be while suspended. Do this for 20-30 seconds at a time.

These are just three effective techniques that can be used to add inches to your frame after a period of dedicated usage. Using any or all of these techniques, you should begin to see results within four to six weeks.

While some of the information one reads regarding getting ripped abs is true, there is a large amount of it which is simply misleading. I'm going to go straight ahead and explain just how easy it can be for you to have the stomach of your dreams. No doubt you've heard about certain "so-called" health foods which will help you get awesome ripped abs in no time at all? The unfortunate truth though is, most of them will simply give you more belly fat.

Stick to good old-fashioned natural foods. Not only are they healthy and beneficial for weight loss, but they're far superior to any of the so-called wonder pills or miracle fat burners, which at the end of the day, don't work.

Contrary to what many people believe, there are indeed some exercises out there which deliver very impressive results, most of which only require a minimal amount of effort. Remember, exercising hard is not always the best option.

If you're feeling let down and disappointed with all the things you've tried then remember, I know exactly how you feel because I have been in the self same position before. However, I have good news for you because after much trial and error, I discovered a method that does let you burn fat and get those ripped abs you've always dreamed about.

Let me give you these facts about house cleaning: steam cleaners have been doing a booming business. It's been profitable so far, so we can say it's a revolution in cleaning. Many housewives adopted the new system and they claim to be happy with it.

The challenge in being successful with this method is to find those cleaning appliances which give the best results. You want to enjoy both the process and the result, after all. Try steam cleaners. You may stick to them forever.

Thinking of the boom registered by video blogging, you'd think it can be applied to cleaning tips too. Yes, it would, but I hardly see it worth it for me to launch a house cleaning video.

The advantage of buying a steam cleaner is that it is multifunctional and it uses only water in the cleaning process. Never underestimate the power of hot vapors jets. They blow away the stubborn dirt right away.

When doing the cleaning, I stretch myself , bend myself and make ample movements, so cleaning works like a fitness routine. It is cheap and useful, so I prefer it to any gym program.

4 Tips to Fast and Easy Weight Loss

Probably one of the most difficult goals to achieve in life is that of weight loss. Weight loss is difficult, but even more difficult is keeping the weight off. You should always try to eat healthy. To make sure that you don't give in to any temptations, make sure you have a considerable stock of raw fruits and vegetables in your house. Also make sure that you cook your own meals, so you can decide how much oil to use. Keep in mind the less oil you consume, the better for you!

2. Eat in small portions: Don't be lazy. You may think that if you eat just once a day you will survive anyway but if you want to lose weight then eating a large meal may not be in your best interest. Ideally, you should split your large dinner into five or six small meals and eat each small portion every four or five hours. Every time you eat, your metabolism will increase and you will be able to burn a lot of fat. Plus it will help suppress your appetite as you won't feel hungry all the time!

3. Cut down calories without depriving yourself: You can lose weight only when you consume less calories than what you burn, and to make sure that you can achieve this end, you should start cutting down on your calorie intake by small percentages everyday. However, you should look to it that in the quest of cutting down your calorie intake, you don't deprive yourself of your favorite foods, otherwise you will start binge eating which will cause weight gain!

4. Exercise: Exercises are probably one of the best options to lose weight. Despite the fact that many of you hate to workout at the gym, you must do it if you are serious about losing belly fat. Workouts not only speed up your metabolism, it also increases your muscles mass. Increase in your metabolic rate as well as your muscle mass will help you burn more fat in less time. You should also look to it that you increase your physical activity level as much as you can. If you go to the marketplace in your car, start using your legs instead. If you reach your office room using the elevator, try to take to the stairs instead!

As you can see, there is no better way to lose weight than by diet and exercise. Your best alternative if this does not work for you is to see a doctor and ask for advice. More often than not, your doctor will ask you either to take some weight loss supplements and pills or go for surgery.

Think You Know The Best Exercise To Lose Weight? Think Again!

Most exercisers today do long-duration cardio and aerobic activities as exercises to lose weight. They think this will help them lose fat fast, but this is a huge mistake. Recent studies have shown that long-duration cardio exercise doesn't work to burn fat. When this is what everybody's been doing, how could it be wrong?

There are several reasons for this. I'll focus on the two that matter the most. What happens when you exercise on an elliptical trainer or treadmill over the course of 30 minutes is that your body does burn fat. This sounds great, but it's not what you want.

Your brain is wired to keep you alive. So what you're doing is sending a signal to your body to keep fat around for the next time you exercise. It's unbelievable, I know, but what you really telling your body is that "you'll be doing this exercise again, so keep some fat around". It is true that you're burning calories during a workout, but as soon as the workout is over your body goes to storing fat again for the next one. Obviously, this is not what we want. What we want is to burn fat as fast as possible.

The other thing that happens with medium intensity aerobic activity done several times a week is that your body becomes really good at it. Your training your body (lungs, heart, muscles, etc.) to become super efficient. You may be asking "What's wrong with that?". I know it sounds good to make your body efficient, but is not very good for you. What's happening is that you end up working within what you're good at, and never improve your aerobic capacity.

This is crucial because your aerobic capacity is exactly how your body knows how to respond to all kinds of stress. When you diminish your aerobic capacity, as you do when you do these types of workouts, you can actually be hurting your long-term health, as well as not letting your body burns much fat as a can.

How about some good news? There is no reason that you have to live with those effects. You can actually quickly reverse them by using high-intensity resistance training instead of moderate cardio. The best thing is that these workouts only take about 20 minutes, and you only have to do them about two days a week.

These types of workouts will burn carbohydrates instead of fat during exercise, and will cause your body to burn its fat stores over the next 24 hours to replace the burned carbs that you use during exercise. Pretty cool, huh? Those are real exercises to lose weight.

In order for this to work the exercise must be performed correctly. You need to have enough intensity and you need a short rest periods of less than 60 seconds between sets.

This is the best exercise to lose weight. It will give you the results that you want, and instead of just losing weight, you will be burning fat.

These options are much better than simply tossing the flowers in the trash. You paid a good amount for your wedding flowers. In case you hadn't noticed, it's nearly impossible to set aside the time you need at the gym each day. It seems there are always more "important" things to be doing. When you do get into the gym, avoid these 7 time wasters.

1 - Don't work out too much! Sounds contradictory? It's not. I know of people who spend 90 minutes on cardio, then another hour on weights and who knows how much time researching the latest supplements. You're body can only benefit from a certain amount of exercise. Go over that amount and it's all wasted.

2. Resting to long- If your goal is to lose unwanted body fat and stay lean, you should keep your rest between sets and exercises to a minimum. Thirty to sixty seconds is all you need. This isn't time to talk with your friends. Set up time after your workout if you schedule can accommodate it.

3 - Plan your workouts. Make sure you know what exercises you're going to do, how many reps you'll do of each and how much weight you're going to use. If you're constantly trying to figure things out on the fly, you'll double your time in the gym.

4. Not having a backup plan- There is nothing more frustrating then going to the gym with your plan in hand and someone is already using the machine! Having a backup plan ensures you spend more of your time in the gym exercising and less time feeling frustrated. If someone is using the chest machine, no big deal: Do push-ups instead.

5. Not working hard enough- Intensity is one of the biggest factors to achieving results. If you are training in the 12-15 rep range, it should be a challenge to do 14 or 15 reps. If you can do close to 20 reps then you need to increase your weight. As you improve, never allow yourself to get to the point where you're doing more than 14 reps of each exercise.

6) Form is vital. Doing too many "cheat" reps will kill your time in the gym. Focus on the right form and you'll benefit greatly from every rep. Each time you do an exercise wrong, that's one more wasted rep.

7) Get some help from someone who knows what they're doing. There aren't many golfers better than Tiger Woods, but, he still has a coach. A coach isn't someone who knows more than you, it's someone who can observe and motivate you from outside of yourself. They can see things you're doing wrong. They can motivated you when you don't have it in you. Seek out a professional even if it's just for a periodic check-up for yourself. It will pay huge dividends.
